Lovina beach is centrally located to many attractions in the surrounding.
Just eight kilometres away are the hotwater springs and just outside singaraje (to the east) are the cold water springs, were cold water enters the ocean. Nice place to swim in the cold water.
If you make the “LOVINA TOUR” you will visit a lot of places. There are so many places to visit thatr you can make the tour twice to visit all.
Going to the east from Kalibukbuk, were SUMA HOTEL is located, you can visit Singaraje (just 10 km east. It was the old capaital of Bali during the Dutch colonial days. It is a typical Indonesian town with its lively market place and Chinese temple. Further eastward is AIR SANIH (cold water spring)
In the LOVINA TOUR you will visit the TEMPLE IN THE LAKE. But before you are there you will see monkeys along the road. Stop and buy some bananas and feed them.
During the trip you will see much ricefields, so beautifull, that you will stop any moment.
The temple in the lake is so beautifull to see with so many statues and HINDOE artefacts.
The big GIT GIT waterfall is in the tour. From the road you have to walk 20 minutes to go there and to see the beautifull waterfall with cold water to refresh yourself. Along the walkpath you will see a lot of little shops were inhabitants will sell their goods (sarongs, woodcarfed articles, clothings, paintings, drinks etc).
Over the hill you will see nice view over two extinct vulcanic lakes called Tambligan and Bratan lakes and ricefields, that you keep looking and forget to go on.
The best snorkelling and diving spots to be found in Bali is found here in the north of Bali. 1 1/2 hours drive to the west (from LOVINA) is the National Park, where Menjangan Island is situated. Some of the best coral reefs to be found in Indonesia. Heading east of Lovina there is the American shipwreck of the US Liberty, where it is possible to enter and see right through the ship. There is also good snorkelling and diving from the beach of Lovina, including water skiing, wake boarding, parasailing and banana boat riding.
Don’t forget to get up early and see the dolphins jumping out of the water. 2 times a year you can see a whale swimming in those waters.
From our SUMA HOTEL it is 20 walk to center of lovina beach where you can sit and relax on the terasses and restaurants. Enjoy the beautifull view, easy life and cold drinks there.
